Great course and a lot of fun - fantastic feeling to run fast does first 9 controls. Very good run as long as there were controls in the forest (until control 9) - around Top 25 until there. Then made a 5 minute mistake at the 10th (where there was no control, I hit the control location directly without understanding it because no control there). After that a lot of small mistakes.

Very wet today - both in the terrain and from the sky. Not exactly a good speed feeling for anybody out there, except the first few controls were quite nice. Lost 10-15 seconds to 4 (did not see control), 5 (did not dare to take the lower path through the cliffs). Then a minute to 7 (difficult to read the map). On long leg to 10 I lost focus for a bit after the transformator station, took the wrong path and probably lost nearly a minute.

Good technical race. Strategy today was to try to run as direct as possible. Lost 15-20 seconds to 9 because I lost concentration and did not check direction. Also some problems with direction to 10. Happy with the long legs where strategy was to run direct rather than use the (poor) paths - I usually struggle with the longer legs in this area. First few legs were surprisingly similar to Scotland.

Nice course to be on Askøy - we nearly didn't have to go into the forest. Good technical race - probably ran too much around to 3rd. Uncertain before/into 4th.

First time orienteering in Belgia - a lot of fun. Interesting terrain - for me the orienteering determined the speed in significant parts of the course - not my running speed. And that's what is fun orienteering. Had trouble in the first part of the course - making several 30-45 second mistakes. Lost 45 seconds to 6 - uncertainty. Small mistake to 11.

Warm up in Belgium - the normal long distance race was too long for my knee. Nice terrain, but the second day was a lot more interesting and challenging.

Bad technical race, but physically it felt quite good. Generally too much simplification and not accurate enough into the control. The worst was the 4th control with around 6 minutes mistake.

Nice course for this terrain. Speed was quite good, but simplified too much to 7th (and stopped early) - cost 45 seconds. To 11 the map was strange - the control was in a green area, and as the control was supposed to be in the white I was reluctant to go into the green. But my fault - should have been more accurate when leaving the road. Cost me 1.40. Also some insecurity into 5 (10 sec) and wrong direction out of 6 (5-10 sec).

Big mistake (3 min) at 2nd control - too much simplification and lost concentration. Unfortunately that was before I started the watch. 5-10 second mistakes at 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th inside the ring. Wrong routechoice to 11 (+40 sec). Lost 25-30 sec to last control (too far left).

A bit tough for the knee with 2 races in 4 days, so need to take it easy for some time now ....
